Every mold project follows a consistent framework based on IICRC S520 the industry standard for professional mold remediation. We start with inspection and moisture mapping using thermal imaging and pin meters. Before any removal begins, we identify and correct the moisture source. Containment is established with poly barriers and HEPA-filtered negative air to prevent cross-contamination. Contaminated porous materials are removed under containment. Structural surfaces are HEPA vacuumed and treated with EPA-registered antimicrobials. Air scrubbers run continuously until independent post-remediation verification confirms the space is clear and ready for reconstruction.
We do not perform our own clearance testing the entity doing the remediation should not be the same entity determining whether there’s a problem. We coordinate with independent industrial hygienists for pre- and post-remediation sampling when warranted. This protects you, satisfies insurance requirements, and ensures the work stands up to scrutiny.
