MaxResto – Water Damage of Tomball

Water Damage Restoration in The Woodlands, TX

Water Doesn’t Care What Your Home Is Worth. Call MaxResto.

A water heater in a $200,000 house and a water heater in an $800,000 house fail the exact same way. The tank corrodes, the bottom gives out, and 40 to 50 gallons of water hit the floor. The difference is what gets damaged and what it costs to fix.

The Woodlands has high-value homes with expensive finishes. Engineered hardwood. Custom cabinetry. Built-in shelving. When water gets into these materials, the damage escalates fast.

MaxResto responds to water damage emergencies across all eight Woodlands villages, 24 hours a day. Same-hour response when conditions allow.

What Floods Homes in The Woodlands

AC failures. Homes here run large HVAC systems, often with multiple zones and multiple air handlers. More units mean more condensate drain lines and more points of failure. An attic-mounted air handler with a clogged drain can put water through the ceiling of a master bedroom, home office, and living room before anyone notices.

Water heater failures. Whether it’s a 50-gallon tank in the garage or a tankless unit with a failed isolation valve, water heater problems are one of the most common calls we run here. Tank failures are catastrophic and immediate. Tankless units develop slow leaks at connections that damage walls behind the unit.

Pipe bursts and supply line failures. Older villages like Grogan’s Mill and Indian Springs have homes from the 1970s and 1980s. The original copper supply lines are past their expected life. Add hard water mineral buildup and the constant soil shifting from clay, and the failure rate goes up every year. Newer homes aren’t immune — plastic fittings under sinks and behind toilets crack and fail regardless of age.

Slab leaks. Heavy clay soil expands when wet, contracts when dry, and shifts the foundation. Supply lines under the slab take the stress. You might notice a warm spot on the tile, a musty smell, or a water bill that spiked for no reason.

Appliance failures. Dishwashers leak at door seals. Refrigerator ice maker lines crack. Washing machine hoses burst. Every water-connected appliance is a potential emergency.

Roof leaks. The Woodlands’ tree canopy drops heavy limbs on roofs during storms. Debris clogs valleys and gutters. Backed-up gutters push water under the roof edge and into the attic. For active storm or roof damage, we respond the same day.

Bathroom overflows. Toilets clog. Kids stuff things down drains. Second-floor bathrooms are the worst because the water goes through the subfloor and into the ceiling below.

Time Is the Enemy

Water spreads fast in any home, but in a home with engineered hardwood, that flooring starts cupping within hours. Custom cabinetry absorbs water through the toe kick and swells. Microbial growth can begin within 24 to 48 hours under warm, humid conditions. If water sits long enough for mold to establish, the scope and cost of the project increase significantly.

My engineered hardwood got wet. Can it be saved?

It depends on how long the water sat and how much moisture reached the subfloor. Engineered hardwood can sometimes be dried in place if caught early. If it has already cupped, buckled, or delaminated, replacement is the better option. We assess on-site and give you an honest answer.

How do you handle insurance for high-value homes?

The same way we handle every claim – with complete, carrier-standard documentation. Xactimate estimates with proper line items, moisture maps, daily drying logs, and photo documentation. We work directly with your adjuster and handle supplement submissions.

What if I smell something musty but don’t see water?

Call us. A musty smell usually means moisture is trapped somewhere you can’t see – behind walls, under cabinets, or beneath flooring. We use moisture meters and thermal imaging to find it without unnecessary demolition.
